So with the wedding season slowing down for Winter and just four weddings left (for Steve) to edit and process (whoop!) I can finally get stuck into sharing the 42 beautiful weddings we had the privilege of photographing all over Devon, Cornwall and Somerset this Summer! There are so many lovely wedding days to share and I will never be able to blog all of them but I shall start with this gem - our first wedding at Devon wedding venue 'Ever After'. Hidden amongst the trees on the edge of Dartmoor is a haven of tranquility called Lower Grenofen and its here that owner Nicola has created the stunning, bespoke wedding venue 'Ever After'. Our lovely couple Hannah and Kevin chose to have a humanist wedding ceremony in the old barn where they read personal vows to one another in front of their nearest and dearest. We had some impressive down pours throughout the morning, none of which phased our lovely bride Hannah thank fully. We made the most of the (steamy) dry spells to have a wander through the woods and down to the river for a beautiful portrait session. I particularly love the shots of Hannah striding purposefully through the woods in her amazing knee length wedding gown and gold wellies. The day had a very relaxed, chilled out vibe which relected our lovely bride and groom Hannah and Kevin and suited the venue perfectly. We particularly loved the style details, botanical elements, green, gold leaf and blush, foliage and ferns, awesome caligraphy, wood cut place names... all created and designed by Hannah with a little help on the day from Kirsten 'The Little Wedding Helper'. Oh Katherine and Steve we absolutely love them!!! So many excellent shots (582 gives me goosebumps!) Kevin and I want to say a huge thank you for all that you and Steve did on our wedding day on 2 July. From help with ferrying buttonholes to and fro, a calming voice (and advice to have champagne!) when my nerves got the better of me, giving us space to enjoy some moments together while snapping away, and constant smiles and calm control throughout the day - we simply couldn’t have asked for more from you. Perhaps the biggest testament is that your cameras genuinely became invisible and it just felt like you were two friends enjoying the day with us. THANK YOU! Thank you once again Hannah & Kevin x
